Awards

Advocis is proud to offer seven awards that recognize excellence in education. These awards are presented annually to students of the CFP, CLU, CHS and PFA programs. To learn more about the individual awards and past winners, click the links in the award descriptions below.


The John A. Tory Award is presented annually to the CLU graduate who achieves the highest average for all course subjects without failing any of the CLU examinations.
 


The CLU Dunstall Award is presented annually to the candidate in each province who achieves the highest examination marks for all CLU course subjects.
 


The Advocis Mark of Distinction is awarded to the candidate who achieved the highest overall score throughout the PFA™ program for the year in which it was awarded.
 


The Institute Award for Outstanding PFA Examination Performance is awarded to the candidate who achieved the highest examination grade in the PFA Program for the year in which it was awarded.
 


The Institute's Certified Health Insurance Specialist (CHS) Program Award is presented annually to the CHS graduate who achieves the highest average for all course subjects without failing any of the CHS examinations.
 


The Advocis CFP® Certification Program Award is awarded to the candidate who achieves the highest examination marks for the four core curriculum CFP subjects.
 


The National Quality Award (NQA) gives tangible recognition to life insurance professionals who attain business excellence in life insurance sales and service.
