Getting Established – Program – FAQ

How soon after registering will I receive access to the program?

Once we have matched you with a mentor, you will receive access to the Getting Established Program. This should take approximately five business days.

How long does the program take to complete?

You will have 12 months to complete the program, however given it’s a self-study program, you can complete it sooner.

Do I have to be an Advocis member to register?

Yes, the program is offered to Advocis members only. To learn more about membership and the benefits of belonging to the oldest and largest professional association for financial advisors and planners in Canada, click here.

Do I have to have my own mentor or is one supplied?

You may have your own mentor, or Advocis can appoint one for you.

Will I receive a certificate?

Yes, a Getting Established certificate is provided.
