Cancellation (Semester and Self-Study)

 

You have 90 days from the date of registration to withdraw from the PFA program and receive a partial refund (no refunds after this date).

Cancellation Fee:

Members: Refund minus $150 + taxes
Non-members: Refund minus $150 + taxes

Exam Rewrites (Semester and Self-Study)

 

FP Module Exam

If you are unsuccessful on your FP Module Exam, you may request up to two (2) exam rewrites. Following receipt of your request, you will be able to rewrite within 1 to 2 business days.

FP Module Exam Rewrite Fee:

Members: $75 + taxes per rewrite (2 rewrites allowed)
Non-members: $75 + taxes per rewrite (2 rewrites allowed)

Course Exam

If you are unsuccessful on your Course Exam, you may request one (1) rewrite.  Following receipt of your request, you will be able to rewrite within 1 to 2 business days.

Course Exam Rewrite Fee:

Members: $75 + taxes for rewrite (1 rewrite allowed)
Non-members: $75 + taxes for rewrite (1 rewrite allowed)

Final Comprehensive Exam

If you are unsuccessful on your Final Comprehensive Exam, you may request one (1) rewrite.

The Final Comprehensive Exam is scheduled four times a year (February, May, August, November) beginning February 2022. Individuals who are unsuccessful on their first attempt, must request a rewrite for the next available exam session.

Comprehensive Final Exam Rewrite Fee:

Members: $150 plus taxes for rewrite (1 rewrite allowed)
Non-members: $350 plus taxes for rewrite (1 rewrite allowed)

Transfers (Semester and Self-Study)

 

The PFA Program is offered in two formats – Semester and Self-study. You may elect to transfer once from one format to the other at no fee. Additional transfers are $75 each plus taxes.

Course Extension (Semester only)

 

If you are unable to complete a PFA semester course within the 6-month term, you may purchase an extension. The following rules apply:

  • Extension is 90 additional days from course expiry date
  • You retain all completed assessments and may continue from where you left off
  • A maximum of two course extensions in total permitted within the 2-year term (Example, if you requested an extension for course 1 and course 2, no more extensions allowed).
  • Regardless of the extension(s) granted, you are required to complete the PFA program within the 2-year term, starting from the original date of registration in the program.
  • Extensions must be requested at least 10 business days before the end of the 6-month term for the course.

Course Extension Fee:

Members: $75 + taxes per extension (only 2 extensions allowed during the 2-year term)
Non-members: $75 + taxes per extension (only 2 extensions allowed during the 2-year term)

Deferrals (Semester only)

 

If you are unable to successfully complete a PFA course within the 6-month course term, you may defer to the next semester that the course is being offered (i.e. Defer from Spring 2021 Semester– to Fall 2021 Semester). The following rules apply:

  • You will not retain completed assessments and will have to complete all assessments again.
  • Only one deferral allowed.
  • Granting a deferral will mean a 6-month period will be added to the term length of the PFA program.

Deferral Fee:

Members: $150 + taxes for deferral (1 deferral allowed)
Non-members: $150 + taxes for deferral (1 deferral allowed)
