What time does the webinar start?

The webinar start and end times depends on:

1) which day you register for (December 2 or 3); and
2) your time zone.

It is important that you confirm which time zone you reside in before registering (see below charts).

How do I login to the webinar?

1 or 2 days prior to the webinar, you will receive an email (to the email address provided with your registration) with login information and important details.

If you do not receive this email, contact Member Services at 1-877-773-6765 or at info@advocis.ca.

What can I expect during the webinar?

As Update 2020 is a very interactive seminar, you will be required to participate in group case study discussions four times throughout the day using the online breakout rooms in addition to viewing the presentations.

Will I earn CE credits?

Yes. You will receive 6 CE credits for attending the webinar and actively participating in the breakout group discussions. You can also earn up to an additional 6 CE credits upon completion of the 4 online Advanced Learning Modules (optional) available to you with your webinar registration.

I already attended an Update 2020 Seminar with my local chapter. Can I attend the webinar?

The content is the same for both the seminar and the webinar. While participants attending both may find value by revisiting the course content, CE credits can only be granted for attending Update 2020 once in 2020.

I have registered for an upcoming Update 2020 Seminar with my local chapter. Can I transfer to the webinar?

Update 2020 Seminar is a distinct program from Update 2020 National Webinar and therefore is not transferable.

I purchased a passport through my local chapter. Is the Update 2020 Webinar included in this passport?

Individual chapters administer passports and only include events from that specific chapter. As a result, the Update 2020 Webinar is not included in chapter passports.

What are the technical requirements to participate?

A strong internet connection – a LAN connection or a strong wi-fi signal with a minimum download speed of 1.5 mbps. Google Chrome browser preferred, Firefox will work as well.
