On Wednesday, November 20, 2019 Advocis will be holding the annual Queen’s Park Day in Toronto.
Legislature Days are an integral part of our lobbying and advocacy efforts to politicians and key government officials on important issues that financial advisors and their clients face. Legislature Days are only effective if efforts are made to seek meetings with MPPs and/or their staffers.
The Government of Ontario introduced and passed The Financial Professionals Title Protection Act in March, 2019. This Bill was supported by both the Government and Opposition, and this is our time to thank MPPs from both sides of House for #Raisingthebar for professionalism!
The Legislature Day will incorporate a series of meetings that Advocis members set with their MPPs in advance, an opportunity to sit in the legislature during Question Period, and attend an evening MPP reception hosted by Advocis.
