Century Initiative
The Century Initiative
Introduced in 2006, the Century Initiative (CI) program ensures Advocis has a strong financial foundation and adequate resources to effectively represent the interests of financial advisors and planners in the face of real threats to the industry.
CI members commit to an additional five-year membership, over and above their Advocis membership fees. Fees from this premium membership are used to ensure the Association is well-capitalized now and in the future. The fund is governed by a board of stewards.
The CI Fund has committed over $1.5 million to critical Advocis initiatives over the past number of years and the outcomes were extremely positive. CI will continue to support future efforts that will ensure our regulatory regime serves the best interest of Canadians and our members. The TFAAC Board and leadership team at Advocis value the significant support provided by the CI Fund.
Eligibility
Membership is by peer invitation and is open to all Advocis, CLU Institute and CALU members.
Committment
Century Initiative members are considered to have committed to their respective membership levels for a period of five years. Members are required to maintain both Century Initiative and general Advocis membership concurrently.

Annual membership dues – $1,000 (For a total of $5,000 over 5 years)
Platinum
Annual membership dues – $2,500 (For a total of $12,500 over 5 years)
Note
Annual membership dues are subject to GST/HST. Premium Gold and Platinum membership fees qualify, under Section 18(1) (a) of The Income Tax Act, as a business expense in the year of payment.
Payment of Fees
Payment of Membership Fees The Association provides several annual payment options: Annual membership fee payment in full by cheque or credit card. Annual membership payment through monthly pre-authorized payment plan (PAP) (bank debit or credit card). Century Initiative members may choose to fulfill their entire membership commitment in a one-time lump sum payment.
